options for vacation homes in Deep Creek, MD

Aggregate has been working with several clients to design vacation homes in Deep Creek, Maryland, an outdoorsy area in the western portion of the state where many Washington DC area families purchase lots to build second homes.

Being within driving distance of Washington DC and with an abundance of both summer and winter activities nearby, vacation homes in Deep Creek are used year-round, and often host large groups of friends and family. But, because a second home is a significant investment of discretionary income, aggregate recognizes the importance of balancing the often-conflicting priorities of design and budget.

With this in mind, aggregate has been developing a range of interior layouts to meet the typical needs of a family in a vacation home, while also developing various exterior concepts in a western vernacular that are attractive but economical to build. In this work, options must reflect the tough decisions that need to be made in order to balance those competing priorities. And, the architect must take particular care to walk the client through each decision.

The key is to build a vacation home that looks great and meets a wide range of needs across all four seasons, but doesn't break the bank.
