family foundation, art gallery and overflow space in Chevy Chase

While technically this couple may be retired, their lifestyle is anything but leisurely. With a primary residence on an upper floor of the building, the couple purchased a second condominium unit on a lower floor in the Parc Somerset in Chevy Chase, MD, to serve multiple purposes: as a gallery for their large art collection; as an elegant space to host fundraisers, parties and other events to promote emerging art and artists; as the headquarter offices for the family foundation; as an "overflow" library and home office for the husband, whose book collection is extraordinary even by Washington DC standards; and as a home-away-from-home for two grown children and their families when visiting the DC area.
